For now, here are the new images from the film, and we’ll hopefully have new footage to bring you soon.Los Angeles, CA, USA. World War Z is set to be released in regular and IMAX theatres on June 21st in the US and UK, and I can’t wait for it to hit. A lot of the time, people are prone to jumping on a bandwagon, especially when it comes to criticising a Hollywood blockbuster, and I have a feeling that it’s going to be entirely unjustified in this case. Pitt is joined by an awesome cast, led by Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale, Lucy Aharish, Matthew Fox, Bryan Cranston, Abigail Hargrove, Sterling Jerins, and David Morse. United Nations employee Gerry Lane traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to decimate humanity itself. The latest trailer hit back in March, giving us an even better look at what promises to be one of the best movies of the summer. If you ask me, its June 21st release date can’t come fast enough. And with Abrams’ blockbuster all but guaranteed success, eyes will soon start turning to the next film on the studio’s slate: World War Z.īrad Pitt is front and centre of the zombie blockbuster, and it’s been some time since we’ve seen him take on a role like this. Paramount have already been having a strong year at the box office so far, most recently debuting Star Trek Into Darkness in UK cinemas ahead of the blockbuster’s release in the US this Friday.
